Open OnDemand

Introduction

Open OnDemand is a portal that allows you to access CHTC’s HPC cluster through your internet browser. OnDemand is great for new users or users who need to access the HPC cluster away from their personal computer.

Log in

All HPC users can access CHTC Open OnDemand. Open OnDemand is currently not available for HTC users.

  1. Go to CHTC Open OnDemand.
  2. You should see a CILogon page. Under Select an Identity Provider, click the dropdown menu and search for University of Wisconsin-Madison.
  3. Click Log On.
  4. Log in with your NetID credentials.

  • File browser. Upload, download, view, and edit files right in your browser. Only text-based files may be edited.
  • Active Jobs. View your currently running jobs.
  • Job Composer. A graphical user interface for creating and submitting jobs based off templates.
  • Shell. Access the shell from your browser.
  • System Status. See system status, including nodes, processors and jobs.
